Landscapes

When it's difficult to find wildlife/birds to photograph, I attempt to do landscapes. They can be very challenging, thinking about composition, lighting, leading lines, perspective, focus, etc. Also I discovered long exposure photography especially using neutral density filters. These filters are like putting sunglasses over your lens so that you can increase the length of time the shutter is open. This type of photography works best with water and clouds giving them an ethereal look. Lynn has been extremely patient with me when I'm taking these images. It takes considerably more time for each one.

This is the shot I was looking for. The Lucky Strike chimney and the water tower plus some nice light trails. When you zoom in you can read the smaller River Lofts water tower, the Wells Fargo and Bank of America signs.
