My name is Gary Bond and I'm a hobbyist photographer who became interested in Photography in the eighties when I bought my first SLR. It was a Pentax MX, which was a completely manual camera. In 2017 I took the plunge into digital photography after seeing that my good friend, Carl, had a DSLR. After talking extensively with him, I bought a Nikon D5600. I later decided I needed a better, more professional camera and got a Nikon D500, then got a Nikon D850. I use the D500 for wildlife since it's a crop sensor camera and use the D850 for landscape because it's a full-frame. I try to go out whenever I can. The above picture was taken by my friend, Carl, at Dark Hollow Falls in Shenandoah National Park. The shot below was taken by John's wife, Luana, at Bryan Park when we were trying to get shots of a pair of Great-Horned owls with their chicks.
